| Issue # Four: Fund Health Insurance for needy children. These advocates of war President Bush, Senators McCain, Obama, Clinton, Bayh, Speaker Pelosi, Congress & Zionist Rep. "Neocon Mike" Pence support the funding of the illegal, barbaric war & occupation of Iraq, ($549 billion YTD ); also Aid To Israel of $ 5 Billion a year; but will not support Health Insurance for needy children! With America's needs and our debt so great, why have Bush, Cheney, Pelosi, Hoyer, Boehner, Pence, Reid, McCain, McConnell, Obama, Bayh and Clinton agreed to ten years of "foreign aid" to Israel at five billion dollars/yr? 3 billion of the 5 billion dollars aid each year are in weapons and weapons systems. Much of this aid from "Christian America" is used to subjugate and oppress the Palestinian peoples in the occupied territorys. If elected to Congress, I promise to sponsor legislation to stop all aid to Israel. By America supporting Israel and its oppression of the Palestinians, we are creating more enemies! | Issue # Three: SAVING SOCIAL SECURITY! President Bush and Congress have continued to "embezzle" and spend the $ 2.3 trillion Social Security Surplus funds. This has been done in violation of federal law, Section 13301 of the Budget Enforcement Act of 1990. These embezzled funds have been covered by worthless I.O.U.s. President Bush and Congress should be sent to prison for this "embezzlement." Please read the section on Social Security and understand how the theft of this surplus affects widows, orphans, and the disabled, especially children! |
| The current price of crude oil isn't due as much to supply and demand that Bush and Congress want you to believe. The Iraq war and the increasing potential for a total regional war developing into a nuclear war is one major factor driving up the price of oil. This war, which could interrupt oil production and the economies of the gulf producing countries is simply to much of a threat for these countries to ignore. The other major factor is in the continued deliberate devaluation of the American dollar By Bush and Congress. Continuing weakening of the dollar, pushes up the prices of many commodities,especially exports like oil. The dollar contiues to weaken and as it does, the prices of commodities increase and the risk of loss in certain investments increase. However, the excessive profits by the oil companies cannot be justified, but because they are corporate profits, the U.S. Senate is refusing to allow these excess profits to be fairly taxed. This is an excellent example ofAmerica's plutocratic government, which is so ruthlessly controlled by the ruling oligarchy of the very rich corporate and political elites unfairly protecting the excessive profits of corprate America, while "screwing" the little guy with more and more debt! The current financial crisis and collapse of our economy are due to President Bush's and Congress' globalization and the irreparable budget deficits caused by the tremendous costs of the illegal, Trans Afghanistan-Pakistani-India Pipeline Wars and Occupation and Iraq-Iranian endless wars and the generous "tax cuts" for the wealthy. When these are added to the lack of oversight and deregulation of the banking and financial sectors for the past twenty eight years, this is a recipe for financial disaster! Americans have suffered a loss of millions of manufacturing jobs over the past thirty years due to "free trade" i.e., globalization, offshoring and outsourcing . These job losses are beginning to reach their zenith under President Bush and Congress, and will continue under McCain or Obama, both of whom believe in "free trade" and globalization! With the loss of manufacturing jobs and ever massive foreign trade deficits has come; increased unemployment, loss of family income, more family (consumer) debt and a lower standard of living and the need for more social services. ********************************* Another concern is that forty million Americans are without health insurance and that number is increasing. The Social Security Surplus (Trust Funds) which totals over $ 2.3 trillion have been embezzled and spent. These monies, placed in "trust" are gone forever. These are the problems which need to be addressed; not continuing endless, costly, illegal, wars and "tax cuts" for the wealthy. ************************************** Please read section on " The Economy & Social Security." Once again! Why must the tax cuts be stopped? They are destroying our economy! In 2005, compared to 2004, President Bush received $28,000 more in net income and V.P. Cheney received $1.1 million more in net income after taxes! Why? Because of Bush and Pence's tax cuts for the wealthy! These tax cuts, resulting in less tax revenue, combined with more federal spending, is what has created these massive budget deficits and an increase of our national debt by over six trillion dollars, and possibly much more, under The Bush-McCain -Obama-Bayh-Pence "fiscal conservatives!" Please remember, tax cuts for the wealthy are lost tax revenue and result in larger budget deficits. If tax cuts created jobs, then why is unemployment so high and American families struggling with "pocket book" issues? The tax cuts for the ultra-rich have to be rescinded and the ultra rich must pay their fair share of income tax. These tax cuts for the rich are now creating over half of the budget deficits and destroying the value of the dollar. Foreigners are now prefering the "euro" or "yen " for their savings or investments! They don't want our cheap dollar! American families are faced with the fact that "real income" has not increased in the past five years. To try to maintain their normal standard of living, families have started getting into their savings and relying more and more on credit. The average American family carries a credit card debt of $ 10,000. At an interest rate of 19%, this means that the average family is paying at least $1,900. a year in credit card interest. This is money that formerly was used for other consumer purchases. These are some of the factors which have caused the current recession and coming economic depression. Again, please read the section on "The Economy & Social Security." After years of the dynamic duo's (Bush & Pence) tax cuts, our national debt stands today at least @ 14 trillion plus. ( Some believe our national debt is closer to $ 100 trillion.) Just to service the interest on this debt is costing the American taxpayers over 1.1 billion dollars a day; monies that could be used for other purposes! Americans must understand "there is no free lunch"! Our Presidents and Congress have used a giant credit card to create this debt since 1980 and especially since 1990. Today, America needs three billion dollars of borrowed capital to keep the country and economy going! That's an increase of at least $ 7.0 trillion in our national debt in less than seven years, (an average of over $ 800 billion/ per year,) by President Bush and Zionist Rep. "Neocon Mike" Pence. V.P. Cheney has boasted "Deficits don't matter!" But they do! Deficits are debt, create interest and both have to be repaid. How does America pay off our national debt and sober up? Like an alcoholic has to stop drinking, Bush & Congress have to stop creating endless debt which has been created by spending, (by borrowing on credit) which is "deficit spending" and printing more "paper money," "fiat money." The tax cuts which have enriched the very wealthy, more and more, have also created our massive federal debt. These tax cuts are lost tax revenue! They must be rescinded now! The ultra rich must pay their fair share of taxes and the national debt! The higher a country's debt, the less value its currency has! This lessens the value of the currency already in the economy but lessens the value of all investments, increases the prices for all commoditiies and lowers the standard of living! That is the Bush, Cheney, McCain, Obamaq, Reid, Pelosi, Boehner, Pence legacy! This is why I am offering Sixth District voters an alternative, a protest vote for common sense government. A vote to restore some common sense to government and integrity to the dollar! WARS COST MONEY AND CREATE DEBT & THE NEED FOR INCREASED TAXES!! The Iraq-Iranian Wars & Occupation have now cost over $ 545 billion to date, (with hidden costs a projected $ 1.6 trillion) and eventual costs of $ 3 trillion. These war costs, which are debt, are non-budgeted "emergency funds" and are not counted in the federal budget. Monies spent on both the Afghan and Iraq wars are over $ 850 billion and are lost forever. These monies could and should have been on people programs, not wars! Can anyone tell me the true federal debt ? I believe that the true federal debt (YTD) is at least thirteen trillion dollars. (That's over $ 160, 000. 00 per family of four) How can this ever be repaid? It can't! Yet McCain and Pence are "parroting" Bush as they continue to talk about making the tax cuts for the wealthy permanent! This is why I call The Bush-McCain-Pence "tax cuts" "scamonomics." So how much is the "real" national debt? Who knows? Who cares? Certainly not President Bush and Congress. But I, George Holland For Congress. America is now a financially bankrupt nation! | Updated 11-07-08 Who is Barack Obama? Issue 0ne! The Economy! Debt, Debt, & More Debt, leading to a weakening dollar and a much lower standard of living for Americans. Please read the section, "The Economy" after finishing this "Issues" page! Twenty years ago, in1988, I was The Democratic Candidate against Rep. Dan Burton , the incumbent. My candidacy was " to stop the economic destruction of our country by President Reagan and Congressman Burton- to stop the deficit spending ; to restore a balanced budget and create a foriegn trade surplus. I asked "Where are the jobs, Congressman Burton,?" Burton refused to debate me! "Reaganomics" aka "supply side" economics has been disastrous for Middle Class Americans! Now twenty years later, Fifteen million manufacturing jobs have been shipped overseas. 70,000 more Americans lost their jobs in August and 605,000 more jobless nationally Y.T.D. To understand how this happened , please read Thom Hartmann's excellent, "When Americans No Longer Own America!" September job losses were 159,000 more jobless, for a YTD of 764,00 jobless! . With the loss of jobs comes the loss of income and then the loss of homes by foreclosure. There are over 100,000 mortaged homes in Indiana now in foreclosure or behind in payments!, Indiana is one of America's states leading in unemployment and home foreclosures! Today, there are 200,000 jobless in Indiana. That's a 60,000 jobless increase in the past year alone! Rep. Pence, Gov. Daniels and Senators Lugar and Bayh; "Where are the jobs you promised." How do we restore jobs? America has to return to "A Tariff Based Economy," it worked well before and it will work well again. By returning to A "Tariff Based Economy" we will once again make General Motors America's largest employer with its union based wages, Wal-Mart with its poverty non union wages must be controlled . Wal-Mart today, is not only the nations largest employer, but exerts too much control over CONGRESS AND OUR ECONOMY . THAT MUST BE CHANGED. WAL-MART DICTATES TO CONGRESS AND AMERICAN CORPORATIONS AND THAT MUST BE CHANGED. IF IT ISN'T, AMERICA WILL CONTINUE ITS DESCENT INTO A 'BANANA REPUBLIC.' With the loss of jobs comes the loss of homes. "Of Indiana's homeowners with a mortgage, more than ll 1/2 percent or 100,000 were either behind on their payments or in foreclosure at the end of June." Friends, with the loss of a home, this means more broken families, more divorces, more domestic violence, more hungry children and more citizens needing help from already exhausted social services. Add to all of this, the failures of the big financial and banking institutions, such as Bear-Sterns, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae,etc- and the burden on the taxpayer to "bail out" the swindlers who caused this, one can understand why Stephen Roach's "Economic Armageddon Predicted," warned Congress and America in Nov. 2004 More recently, The Controller General resigned! Please read "How the U.S. can avoid a fiscal wreck!" by former C.G. Robert Walker! I have had "Economic Armageddon Predicted" on this web-site since 2005! Bush and Congress, especially Pence and Bayh can't say they were unaware of the dangers. Every American is aware of the failure of the big banking and financial and nsurance giants, such as Bear Stearns, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Lehman Brothwers and AIG. There is no such thing as a free lunch. These failures happened because of "deregulation," lackof proper oversight and the "free markets" that the four past presidents and Congress have allowed. All of these current problems have been caused by these "special interest" groups greasing the palms of these presidents and Congressional members campaign chests with huge donations! Rep. Mike Pence has taken hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not over a million, from these financial giants, aka "the fat cats." There is no such thing as "federally insured!" This should be called "tax payer" insured! America's working families know that these "bailouts" are being done at "taxpayer expense!" We, the taxpayers are the federal government. These "bailouts" will cost us, the taxpayers, in increased debt, well over $ two trillion. The "fat cats" of Congress are "screwing " the little guy instead of making the Wall Street and banking "fat cats" pay for thier greed! |
| But what debt can we control or eliminate? Over half of the nearly $ seven trillion dollars in Mr. Bush's increase in the federal debt since 2001, has been due to the lost "tax revenues" of The Bush, Cheney, Pelosi, Lugar, Biden, Bayh, and Pence "tax cuts" for the very wealthy. These tax cuts have to be stopped! Here's why! The lower 90% of taxpayers receive an average "income increase" of only twenty dollars per year as a result of the Bush, Bayh, Pence "tax cuts." The top ten percent receive more , with the very top, receiving the most. Those with annual incomes of $ 375,000 or more receive an average, annual income increase of $73,000 or more. The Cheneys, Bushs, Clintons, Bayh, and Daniels receive much more because of their huge incomes! Democratic Senator Bayh, who is supposed to represent the working class is a "millionaire" and is receiving an annual income increase of close to 150,000.00 more due to the "tax cuts." "Democrats care for you!" Thank you, Gov. Daniels, Senators Lugar, Bayh and Rep. Pence. With your "tax cuts" for the wealthy , you have lined your own wallets with a lot of green, but have done nothing to provide "jobs" as you and Bush promised the "tax cuts" would do! Again, thank you, Gov. Daniels, Senators Lugar, Bayh and Rep. Pence. You have been too good to Indiana's blue and white collar families. ****************************************** Issue Number two, now becomes, along with The Iraq War, these: 1) Why do "79 Million Americans struggle To Pay Medical Bills? 2) Why are "40 million Americans without health insurance"? 3) Why are "Overwhelming Medical Expenses," the main reason for family bankruptcies? 4) Why don't needy American children have health insurance? These are the issues that "the fat cats" of Congress should be concerned with; not bailing out Wall St. "fat cats."
