(1) After over five years of occupation and war, there is not a single village, city, town or province, especially Bhagdad, that is militarily secured. (2) According to The British Medical Journal Lancet, in 2006, over 650,000 Iraqi civilians have been killed in the violence of this war and its aftermath. According to a recent *ABC/BBC poll, 98 % of Sunnis and 84% of Shia in Iraq want all U. S. forces out of the country. Please read "2007 Worst Year Yet in Iraq!" 3) Nearly one third of the returning combat troops are suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, (formerly called battle fatigue). PTSD can never be cured, it can only be treated! (4) Suicides from PTSD in veterans are increasing! Suicides in country are also increasing! There have been 135 suicides of American troops in Iraq and Kuwait. (Please see the section on "the Horrors of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.") (5) More U.S. Troops died in Iraq over the past calendar year than in any similiar period of war. The American Troops Deaths In Iraq are now 4,000. What has been gained by the deaths of these young Americans? (6) 65% of the Iraqi population support the insurgents attacking American troops! A recent poll shows that only 18% of the Iraqi people trust the American forces. (7) Alcohol and drug usage are increasing in returning veterans. Pitt quotes PNAC member Norman Podhoretz on "regimes" to be overthrown, (by the U.S.?) in the Middle East, "that richly deserve to be overthrown and replaced, are not confined to the three singled out members of the axis of evil. At a minimum, the axis should extend to Syria and Lebanon and Libya, as well as 'friends' of America like the Saudi royal family and Egypt's Hosni Mubarak, along with the Palestinian Authority, whether headed by Arafat or one of his henchmen." In place of physical extermination of Muslims, Podhoretz advocates their destruction by deracination. He had no evidence to support his claim, yet that day he persisted in this claim! In my opinion, his claim was a blatant lie! (3) That day, another constituent, a retired school teacher, asked Israelphile Rep. " AIPAC Mike" why he had a link on his Congressional web-site to an article that advocated invading Iran. Israelphile Rep." AIPAC Mike" denied there was such a link even when the retired teacher persisted there was! I would remind the reader that Israelphile Rep. " AIPAC Mike" Pence is one of the biggest supporters of war with Iran! (4) On May 18, 2004, Israelphile Rep. " AIPAC Mike" Pence, on the floor of the House of Representatives, stated that "WMD had been found in Bhagdad!" This was a bald face lie. If " AIPAC Mike" had this evidence, why didn't he inform President Bush and especially the United Nations? There were no WMD! (5) In June, 2004, at a town hall meeting in Rushville, (Miller's Merry Manor), " AIPAC Mike" had his aides display an easel with the inscription, "Pence Tells House: 05-18-04 WMD found in Bhagdad: When Israelphile Rep. " AIPAC Mike" Pence realized I was in the audience and would challenge that "lie," he immediately had the easel removed! (6) In response to my inquiry about "torture" by our government, Pence wrote me to the effect that our government wasn't involved in torturing prisoners! WHAT A LIE! | Please remember, in the Fall of 2002, I went to Indianapolis to hear Major Scott Ritter, (another great American patriot) USMC (Ret.) share his experiences as the Chief American Inspector on the U.N. Weapons Inspection Team. In a two hour talk, Major Ritter stressed: (1) that the U.N. teams found no WMD. (Chief U.N. Inspector Hans Blix would later state that over 500 sites were visited and inspected.) (2) that Saddam Hussein's military forces had suffered greatly during the Gulf War and the retreat from Kuwait! (3) Iraq's military forces had undergone daily bombardments from the American and British air forces! ( Ritter stressed that some members of the inspection teams were sending information on Iraq's miltary capablities back to England and the U.S.. This information had nothing to do with WMD but enabled American and British air power to target Iraq's military!) (4) made it very clear that Saddam Hussein was not a fundamentalist, had no ties to al-Qaida and no connection with the events of 9-11! Dear Friends: Since 1986, (22 years ago) I have been stressing that America must stay out of "foreign entanglements." Today, America is in an economic recession! If you look at the Section on The Economy & Social Security, hopefully, you will understand my concerns. Our stated National, (Federal) Debt is $9.3 trillion. However, if you factor in the costs of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, (which are "off-budget "emergency" items ) well over $1trillion, as well as the $2.2 trillion "embezzeled " from Social Security Surplus funds, our true national debt (YTD) is well over $ 9.3 trillion. That factors out to be over $32,000.00 per person or $ 128,000 that a family of four owes as their share of the National or Federal Debt. Much of this debt is held by foreign countries and corporations. There is no way this debt can be repaid! The economy will collapse and it did not have to happen! The Democratic Israelphiles in Congress, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer and Senate Majority Leader Reid are as much to blame as President Bush. Then it emerged today in press reports that 21 workers or merchants in that same market had been bound and executed north of Bhagdad. Friends: This shows the deceit that politicians will use in trying to deceive you into believing the violence in Iraq has subsided. This raises a very serious question. Did Senator McCain's & Rep. | Many Americans, especially veterans, have compared the U.S. quagmire in Iraq to the U.S. quagmire in Vietnam. A better comparison would be Russia's, ( a world power) and now the U.S. quagmire in its invasion of Afghanistan, (a third world moslem country). Russia, just as the U.S. has done, went into Afghanistan to establish a puppet government in order to secure a north-south pipeline for Caspian Sea oil. Friends, we know that President Bush and Congress lied to the American people about going into Afghanistan in order to defeat the Taliban and capture Osama bin Laden. I have spoken of the greed, lies and deceit of the Iraq war. The same can be applied to the war in Afghanistan. There are hundreds of well written articles about why the U. S. really is involved in Afghanistan: it involves "empire building,"(petrol-fascism?) the greed for Caspian Sea area resources, (oil and natural gas), and the need for a north-south pipeline controlled by the U.S. I have read "The New U.S. British Oil Imperialism" by Norman D. Livergood. In my opinion, he certainly has the credentials to speak out! Some of his article may be subjective, but I believe most is objective. It' s a little lengthy, but very, very informative. Here are some excerpts: "As soon as the Soviets discovered the vast Caspian Sea oil fields in the late 1970's - they attempted to take control of Afghanistan to build a massive north-south pipeline system to allow the Soviets to send their oil directly through Afghanistan and Pakistan to the Indian Ocean seaport. The result was the long Soviet Afghan war. The Standard Oil influenced U.S. government saw the danger of a Russian north- south pipeline and the CIA trained and funded armed terrorist groups, including Osama bin Laden, who defeated the Soviets in the late 1980's." Mr. Livergood also informs us: "The reason the so-called 'war against terrorism' began in Afghanistan- is because it is critical to the U.S.- British rulers' plans to control the Caspian Sea area oil and gas." Livergood also enlightens us: "The U.S. military has already set up a permanent operations base in Uzbekistan. The so-called anti-terrorist strategy is clearly designed to simultaneously consolidate control over Middle Eastern & South Asian oil, and contain & neutralize the former Soviet Union. With that strategy, Afghanistan is exactly where they need to be." Another excerpt reads, " Despite the misgivings of Russia, China, India or any other nation, Afghanistan & Iraq will now become the base of operations in destabilizing, isolating & estasblishing control over the South Asia regimes and the Middle-East. [ Note that Iran stands between Iraq & Afghanistan and you can understand why Bush included Iran in the 'Axis of evil.' ] After the conquest of this area is complete and the permanent military posts are set up, they will begin construction of a pipeline through Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and Pakistan to deliver petroleum to the Asian market." Another excerpt informs us, "President Bush says our military will continue its presence in Afghanistan, which means that while the U. N. forces serve as a paramilitary police force, the U.S. soldiers will be guarding the construction of the north-south pipeline." Doctor Livergood closes his excellent patriotic article with: "Oil imperialism flourishes when a supine press cheers and a groveling congress grants unconstitutional authority to the oil-saturated Demonic cabal. Despite our grief and rage over terrorist atrocities, a 'war on terrorism' cannot be fought with bombs and missiles alone. Citizens throughout the world must awaken to this new U.S.-British imperialism and reclaim their governments. Once democracy is re-established, we can start a war on homelessness, poverty, and economic and political inequalities, and begin work to achieve ecological sustainability for our planet." I have spoken withAmerican combat veterans from both the Vietnam and Iraq wars and also with Russian combat veterans, (Afghanstis) who served in Afghanistan. A common theme of these veterans' collective experiences was "My government lied to me!" Now do you the reader understand why I ask, "Why die for a lie?" Would you die for "The New U.S. British Oil Imperialism? Russia with its heavy armor, helicopters and superior firepower found itself constantly beseiged and being defeated by U.S. and Saudi supported "mujahideen" These "freedom fighters" pouring into Afghanistan from other muslim countries, especially Saudia Arabia, (Osama bin Laden) to fight alongside of indigenous moslems to defeat the "infidel" Russian invaders also included extremist groups such as the "Wahhabis" and the Muslim Brotherhood. Why should the U.S. "infidel" invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq produce any different response from the Afghans, the Iraqis and Islamic fundsmentalists, than what the Russians faced in Afghanistan? Now these "freedom fighters" from the moslem world are fighting alongside of the indigenous "insurgents" in Iraq against the American-Israeli supported "infidel" invasion/occupation but now they are called "terrorists". There were no WMD in Iraq! All of this dieing and suffering is because of the Bush, Cheney cabal of "petrol fascists," a pro-Israeli, Jewish dominated cabal in the Defense Department and an AIPAC controlled Congress. To this U.S. veteran, this shows, once again, how the Bush administration puts itself above the law, while ignoring court orders not to destroy these tapes! Why were these tapes destroyed? Did these tapes show a connection between the 9-11 hi-jackers -terrorists and the Saudi royal family? I believe they did! |
| Friends: The lies continue! America's new president designate,. Senator John (Bomb, bomb, bomb Iran) McCain, was in the Middle East during this week of the most Holy Christian Holiday, Easter. He was accompanied by two other warmongering, zealous Israelphiles, Senators "Jewish Joe" Liebermann and Lyndsey Graham. Their most important stop was in Israel, where they paid homage to and reasserted their allegiance to non-Christian Likud Israel. After all, this past year, Bush and Congress joined hands in lifting more monies from the taxpayers' wallets in order to send Israel $5 billion worth of aid each year for the next ten years. Three of the five billion is to be in military aid. McCain's visit was important to do this in light of the fact that Admiral Fallon of Central Command was forced to retire from active duty, because he (Admiral Fallon) had consistently stated he saw no reason to invade Iran.
