George Holland, Candidate for Nomination of The Libertarian Party, Sixth U.S. Congressional District, Indiana announces:

What: A news conference and peaceful protest against the Iraqi war; a peaceful protest against “A Betrayal Of Trust,” a betrayal of our troops by President Bush and Congress. Also to honor Iraq Veterans Against the War and Winter Soldiers II.

A peaceful ecumenical gathering of God’s children; the blessed “peacemakers,” from all major religions, especially the Christian, Jewish and Moslem religions, who all worship the same God. God’s children not only “talk the talk,” but “walk the walk” in protesting

this blasphemous war!

Where: Indiana State House Rotunda , Indianapolis, IN

When: Wednesday, April 16,th 2008 12:15 AM - 1:00 PM

Why: To initiate a series of public referenda against the Iraq War and “A Betrayal Of Trust,” a betrayal of our troops by President Bush and Congress; in order to support our troops and save American lives, by demanding that Congress “support our troops” and bring them home now!

Also, to recognize and honor Iraq Veterans Against The War for their courage in protesting the Iraq War and trying to save American lives!

As a veteran, George will share with the gathering of why The National Libertarian Party is the only major political party concerned with the safety and welfare of our troops and therefore is on record in calling for withdrawal of our troops from Iraq!

As a personal protest against the Iraq War, USAF-NATO veteran George Holland will return to Governor Mitch Daniels a “Certificate Of Appreciation” awarded him by the State of Indiana on August 10, 1955 “in grateful appreciation of your LOYAL AND FAITHFUL SERVICE in the Armed Forces of the United States in the fight against Communist aggression throughout the world, the People of Indiana Present this certificate of recognition of your performance of the highest obligation of American citizenship.”

As a veteran, George Holland will provide documentation that Congressman Dan “Hawk” Burton, a big supporter of the Iraq War, has lied about his military service.

(1) Study: False statements preceded war. (Actually 935 lies in a two year period. President Bush lied 259 times. Then Secretary of State Colin Powell lied 254 times. Then National Security Advisor Condoleeza Rice lied 56 times.)

(2) Most Troops want swift pull-out from Iraq (If our troops had been supported by President Bush and Congress; all of them would have been home now, united with their families and “safe and sound.”

Small hand held protest signs only, please. No signs on sticks!
