Please read: (2) Truth was first casualty in Iraq War: Study. Who Is Barack Obama? Dear Friends: America knows what an advocate of war John McCain is. But, who is Barack Obama? Americans should realize that we live in a plutocracy, not a Republic with Democratic processes as our pledge states. Americans should be aware that the oligarchy which so ruthlessly controls this country is determined that there be no changes in the "status quo" It is interesting that Obama's qualifications, especially his experience in foreign affairs, ( I am more qualified to be president than he or McCain) have instead swallowed the media's hype and the oligarchy's customizing of Barack Obama, as the guy who has all the answers and indeed will save America; a brown dude, (for a change) no less; on the white steed of virtue, truth and justice that white America can trust! What's he selling? Why, HOPE; of course! I have followed Obama's meteoric rise and researched his positions on The Iraq War and The Middle East since before the Congressional elections of 2006. It was in that election that the Democratic Party regained control of both houses of Congress. Speaker Pelosi admitted, on national television, that the Democrats won because the American people wanted the U.S. to get out of Iraq. Prior to these elections, Barack Obama was counseling Democratic candidates to talk "security issues," instead of protesting the Iraq War and why the U.S. should withdraw from Iraq! To my knowledge and research, I did not find a single statement where Obama was advising Democratic Candidates to speak out against the War or a single comment about the inequality of sending kids from poor, working class and minority families to die in wars which is based on the deceit and lies of Bush and Congress, so the military and territorial expansions of Israel and the goals of "The New U.S. Britsh Oil Imperialism" can continue. Why are these events important? But what is that change? mmediately following the last Tuesday of the primaries, both Hillary and Obama hurried to the National AIPAC Convention. Justin Rainmondo, writing in antiwar.com, "Obama capitulates - to the Israeli Lobby," qoutes part of Obama's speech; "I will do everything in my power to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon . Everything in my power. Everything." Mr. Rainmondo reminds us ; " 'Everything' includes murdering tens of thousands of Iranians, mostly civilians, - driving the price of oil up above $300 a barrel and destroying the U.S. economy - and involving us in a war that will make the Iraq conflict look like a Sunday school picnic. And for what?" James Zogby writing "Obama at AIPAC" and John Pilger's "Obama Is a Truly Democratic Expansionist" mention Obama's support for an "undivided Jerusalem" as Israel's capital. Obama said, "Jerusalem will remain the capital of Israel and it must remain undivided". Pilger writes , "Not a single government on earth supports the Israeli annexation of all of Jerusalem, including the Bush regime, which recognizes the UN resolution designating Jerusalem an international city," At this point, Candidate George Holland reminds the reader that Admiral Fallon, Central Command Commander, before being fired by President Bush, was reassuring the Arab Gulf Nations that "There was no reason for the U.S. to attack Iran." Even the watered down, "The Iraq Study Group Report," made it very clear that any actions involving Iran's nuclear progam was to be handled by the United Nations! The arrogance of Obama to make such statements and their implications shows that he is not Americans are told to support our troops and their families; but Senator Obama and Hillary Clinton don't. During the primaries, Military Families Speak Out, made a passionate plea; "Senator Clinton And Senator Obama Use Your Leadership Now To End The War In Iraq!" MFSO asked them to take a stand on stopping any more funding for the war, because the war was killing and wounding American troops and causing hardships for these families. MFSO quotes Sen. Barack Obama, September 12, 2007, "Let me be clear; there is no military solution in Iraq , and there never was. The best way to protect our security and to pressure Iraq's leaders to resolve their civil war is to immediately begin to remove our combat troops. Not is six months or one year - now." Senator Hillary Clinton, July 10, 2007 stated, "Our message to the president is clear. It is time to begin ending this war - not next year, not next month - but today." Obama's and Hillary's responses to MFSO? They ignored MFSO! After these lofty statements, for Obama and Clinton to ignore MFSO show how hypocritical and what warmongering liars they are. Democrats control the spending and could refuse to fund the war; and our troops would be brought home. Both houses of Congress approved overwhelmingly a new $170 billion War Bill to fund the war through the middle of 2009 without any "withdrawal" clause. Please remember, in 2007, Senate Majority Leader Reid publicly stated, "The war in Iraq is lost!" In February 2006, Financial Times published a poll taken of American troops in Iraq, "Most Troops Want Swift U. S. Pull-Out from Iraq.Out." In that poll, 72% said the U.S. should completely withdraw within twelve months.. 23% said the U.S. should "stay as long as needed." 29% said the U.S. should "withdraw immediately." If The Democratic controlled Congress had supported our troops' wishes and demanded their withdrawal; All of our troops would be out of Iraq now and safe at home with their families! As a U.S. veteran, George Holland reminds the reader that there were no WMD! There were no ties between al-Qaida and Saddam Hussein. The Center for Integrity documented 935 "false statements" in a two year period preceding the invasion. I look upon the Democratic leadership, especially Obama as hypocrites, as warmongering liars. To make these statements, giving hope to our troops and their families and then ignoring our troops and ordering them to die for more lies, deceit and greed is "a betrayal of trust" and that is treason! So why are U.S. Forces still in Iraq and Obama and others advocating an attack upon Iran? Is this a sudden change on Obama's part? Joshua Frank , writing in antiwar.com, Feb. 5, 2008, Why there is no "hope" for "change" documents "After Obama won his senatorial race in 2004 he quickly abandoned the antiwar rhetoric he had touted along the campaign trail." Mr. Frank documents Obama's very hawkish attitudes and comments regarding not only Iraq, but also Iran and Pakistan. Frank informs us, "Iran is a 'genuine threat' to the United States and Israel, Obama later expressed at a forum sponsored by AIPAC on March 12, 2007, in Washington, D.C. At the event, Obama reiterated that he would not rule out the use of force in disarming Iran, a position he shares with Hillary Clinton" "Earler that month, on March 2, 2007, Obama spoke at an AIPAC Policy Forum in Chicgo, where he succintly laid out his position on how he would deal with the Middle East , promising not to alter America's lopsided relationshipwith Israel. 'We must preserve our total commitment to our unique defense relationship with Israel by fully funding military assistance and continuing work on the Arrow and related missile defense programs,' he said. "This would help Israel maintaion its military edge and deter and repel attacks from as far as Tehran and as close as Gaza." On Feb. 29, 2008 , Joshua Frank, again writing in antiwar.com, in his excellent article, "Barack Obama's Israel Bond " documents, once again, what George Holland believes is Obama's obsession and allegiance to Israel and why under Obama as President, there will never be peace in the Middle East and his words and actions, on behalf of Israel, will destroy any hope for a just peace between Israel and the Palestinians, Candidate George Holland raises the question of whose interests is Obama serving; the U.S. or Israel's? Very clearly, Israel's interests. Obama's, Biden's, McCain's, Palin's, Bayh's, Hoyer's, Pence's and Congress' obsession with serving the interests of Israel and not the interests of America and our troops, is "a betrayal of trust" and that is treason and "a war crime." ! On July 30, 2008 , Richard Lightner, writing in antiwar.com stresses; No Flip-Flopper: Obama Has Always Been Belligerent on Iran. While I agree with Lightner's describing Obama's position as "belligerent," for Lightner to describe this belligerency as "centrist" is off course. "Centrist" is defined as "moderate" and Obama's views are one sided with Israel. While the U.S. should be disengaging its forces from the Middle East, Obama and Congress very clearly will pull and push the U.S. more and more into military confrontations without any reason other than for The New U.S. British Oil Imperialism and to serve their masters in AIPAC and Israel. Justin Raimondo writing in antiwar.com "Is Obama the 'Antiwar Candidate?' " Two words of advice for the antiwar voter: Caveat emptor The antiwar voter, Let the buyer be aware, needs to read this very comprehensivc paper which details how Obama in his pursuit of the Afghan War will envelope our great America into an endless quagmire. Some excerpts; "Furthermore, this well meaning earnestness will boomerang in our faces, as the age-old cutoms of an inward looking people are violated and the yoke of foreign rule is tightened . Out in the Afghan wilds, Kabul is just as far removed as Washington, at least figuratively, and the 'country' of Afghanistan is largely a western fiction," "The re-invasion and occupation of Afghanistan will give President Obama a chamce to highlight his hawkishness and prove himself to the War Party as a good and loyal servant. It will allow the Democratic Party to refurbish its credentials as a tough -minded crew, ready, willing, and able to spill as much innocent blood as the GOP in establishing U.S. hegemony in the Middle East. This refurbishing, however, will be short lived, because the Afghans will be no more receptive to Obama's charms than they were to Queen Victoria's civilizing missions and Yuri Andropov's "proletarian internationalism." John Pilger, writing in antiwar.com July 25, 2008 "Obama, the Prince of Bait-and-Switch informs us of the true nature of Obama. The last four paragraphs tells it like Obama is! (Bold emphasis is by Candidate George Holland) "The scandal of this would be headline news, were it not for what George W. bush's former spokesman Scott McCellan has called "complicit enablers" - journalists who serve as little more than official amplifiers. Having declared Afghanistan a "good war," the complicit enablers are now annointing Barack Obama as he tours the bloosdfests in Afghanistan and Iraq. What they never say is that Obama is a bomber. In the New York Times on 14 July, in an article spun to appear as if he is ending the war in Iraq, Obama demanded more war in Afghanistan and, in effect an invasion od Pakistan. He wants more combat troops, more helicopters, more bombs. Bush may be on his way out, but the Republicans have built an ideological machine that transcends the loss of electoral power- because their collaborators are, as the American writer Mike Whitney put it succinctly, "bait -and-switch" Democrats, of whom Obama is the prince. Those who write of Obama that "when it comes to international affairs, he will be a huge improvement on Bush" demonstrate the same willful naivete that backed the bait-and-switch of Bill Clinton - and Tony Blair. Of Blair, wrote the late Hugo Young in 1997, 'ideology has surrendered entirely to values...there are no sacred cows [and] no fossilized limits to the ground over which the mind might range in search of a better Britain.'... "Eleven years and five wars later, at least a million people lie dead. Barack Obama is the American Blair. That he is a smooth operator and a black man is irrelevant. He is of an enduring, rampart system whose drum majors and cheer squads never see, or want to see, the consequences of 500 lb. bombs dropped unerringly on mud, stone, and straw houses." Folks, Senate Majority Leader Frist said it best in 2006, "The War in Afghanistan is lost! So why does Obama want not only to continue this criminal carnage but enlarge it? Americans should be very aware of The Iran War Resolutiion which is being sponsored in the Senate by Senator Bayh, (D-IN) and in the house by Rep. Gary Ackerman, (D-NY) This war resolution would authorize the President to enforce a naval blockade of Iran. This blockade would not only be "illegal," but would be considered "an act of war" Warmonger Obama has not spoken out against this resolution since he vigorously supports it. Once again, the Democrats are willing to continue to send American troops to die for lies, deceit and greed for Israel and AIPAC! As a U.S.A.F.-NATO veteran, I consider any politician, who has voted to continue funding the illegal war & occupation of Iraq or sponsoring The Iran War Resolution to be pyschpathic "warmongers" and "war criminals" just like President Bush. I intend to document their actions and words and hopefully, sometime in the future, to testify against these "war criminals" such as Obama, McCain, Lieberman, Bayh, Ackerman, Hoyer, Pelosi, Pence and others. These wars are "illegal" and can not be "won." To continue the Iraq War & Occupation, which was based on lies, deceit and greed, is not the "American Way." Keeping our troops in this perilous situation and advocating more war with Iran is not the "American Way." If Congress feels truly threatened, then who has the most to lose; Senator Bayh and that other "chicken hawk" coward, Rep. Pence or the average American KIA in Iraq who is 23 YOA and the family income is $30,000/yr? Bayh's income is well over $ one million per year and Pence's is well over $200,000/yr. So why aren't these "chicken hawk"cowards, Obama, Bayh, Bidin, Pelosi, Ackerman and Pence doing the fighting, dieing and killing? Americans should be outraged that The Democratic controlled Congress could not overide Bush's veto of The Health Insurance Bill for needy children, but they joined hands with the Republicans, with all of America's debt, in sending Israel five billion dollars of aid per year for the next ten years; three billion of which each year will be in military aid, an increase of $ 600 million a year; aid which will be used to attack Iran and to continue the apartheid conditions in the occupied territories. Obama, McCain and Pelosi, all recently on trips to the Middle East made it a point, while in Israel, to critisize Iran, while ignoring Israel's horrific treatment of the Palestinian peoples in the occupied territories, especially in Gaza which has been described as "the world's largest open air prison." Obama, after touring Afghanistan made the startling discovery that, after seven years of war and occupation, the situtation was "urgent"! AP writer Glen Johnson on July 15, 2008, wrote, "Obama says Afghanistan 'a war that we have to win.' " Again, George Holland would remind the reader that the Russians, after their fiasco invasion and occupation of Afghanistan, had warned President Bush against invading Afghanistan. Also, the reader should remember that then Senate Majority Leader Frist, in 2006, after visiting Afghanistan, publicly declared, "The war in Afghanistan is lost." Why after seven years, is Obama so concerned about the growing threat of al-Qaida and the Taliban in Afghanistan that this will be his top priority after ending the war in Iraq? Obama can not end the war in Iraq. Our presence and occupation are permanent! Americans must understand that! Senate Majority Leader Reid stated clearly in 2007, "The war in Iraq is lost!" Americans should realize that the U.S. is not in Afghanistan to find and kill Osama bin Laden or other "terrorists." U. S. presence in Afghanistan is to build and protect militarily "north-south" pipelines from the Caspian Sea area to carry oil through Afghanistan into and through Pakistan and onto the Indian Ocean. The Russian invasion and occupation of Afghanistan, which failed horribly, was to build and secure pipelines from Russia, into and through Afghanistan and Pakistan and onto the Indian Ocean also. This is all discussed in Dr. Norman D. Livergood's , The New US -British Oil Imoperialism. As a USAF-NATO veteran, I now understand why NATO troops, especially American and British, are the primary military forces being used in Afghanistan. This is all part of The Clintons' and Bayh's "The New World Order" and why Obama made it a point to go to Europe, trying to get more NATO countries to furnish troops for Afghanistan. Folks, Senator Frist said it best, "The war in Afghanistan is lost" For Obama or McCain to believe that NATO forces can prevail and "win" in this third world country has to be "psychopathic" and "delusional." There is nothing to win. As an anti-war veteran, I had the opportunity to sit down with, on at least four occasions, and ask these "afghanstis"(Russian combat veterans who had served in Afghanistan ), "What were you doing in Afghanistan?" Not a single Russian veteran could answer my question. The U.S. is not in Afghanistan to find and kill Osama bin Laden. In my opinion, Mr. bin Laden is probably dead. His image has to be kept alive so there is some excuse for our troops to be dieing and suffering. To wage war in Afghanistan against the Taliban, al-Qaida and the insurgents who will fight to keep the American Empire pipelines out of Afghanistan is sheer folly and a waste of American blood and monies. Remember the oligarchy, (the political and corporate elites) which controls America does not fight,suffer and die in these wars for the American Empire. Kids from the poor, the minorities and the working classes are the primary "cannon fodder" for these "misadventures." To continue to send these kids to die for lies, deceit and greed is criminal, fascist and barbaric. Any politician voting to continue this criminal carnage is a "war criminal" and that includes Bayh, Obama, Clinton, Lieberman, McCain, Pelosi, Ackerman, Hoyer, Pence and all the others. Tough talk? No. It's being realisitic and this veteran is trying to save American lives! In closing, I want to share some thoughts with you concerning John Pilger's, June 13, 2008 article in antiwar.com "Obama Is a Truly Democratic Expansionist" Some excerpts are worth stressing! "Understanding Obama as a likely president of the United States is not possible without understanding the demands of an essentially unchanged system of power: in effect a great media game." Pilger mentions two important statements made by Obama, the first made to AIPAC, "Obama had already offered his genuflection, but on 4 June went further.He promised to support an "undivided Jerusalem"as Israel's capital. Not a single government on earth supports the Israeli annexation of all of Jerusalem, including the Bush regime, whcih recognizes the UN resolution designating Jerusalem as an international city." "His second statement, largely ignored, was made in MIami on 23 May. Speaking to the expatriate Cuban community - which over the years has faithfully produced terrorists, assassins and drug runners for US administrations - Obama promised to continue a 47- year crippling embargo on Cuba that has been declared illegal by the UN year after year. Again, Obama went further than Bush. He said the United States had 'lost' Latin America. He described the democratically elected governments in Venezuela, Bolivia and Nicaragua as a 'vacuum' to be filled. He raised the nonsense of Iranian influence in Latin America, and he endorsed Columbia's 'right to strike terrorists who seek safe havens across its borders'. Translated , this means the 'right' of a regime, whose president and leading politicians are ;linked to death squads, to invade its neighbours on behalf of Washington. He also endorsed the so-called Merida Initiative, which Amnesty International and others have condemned as the US bringing the 'Columbian solution' to Mexico. He did not stop there. 'We must press further south as well' he said. Not even Bush has said that. Like all serious presidential candidates, past and present, Obama is a hawk and expansionist." "Obama's difference may be that he feels an even greater need to show how tough he is. However much the colour of his skin draws out both racists and supporters, it is otherwise irrelevant to the great power game." ****************************************** Who is this Barack Obama; The mirror image of the "advocates of war" Senators McCain, Clinton, Lieberman, Bayh, Speaker Pelosi, and Reps. Ackerman, Hoyer and Pence ? Who is this Barack Obama; he who ignores America and our troops and their families wanting funding for the wars stopped and our troops wanting to come home? Who is this Barack Obama; who for "blood money", would murder innocent Iranian women and children; bringing death and grief to more of God's children in Christian America's name? Who is this Barack Obama; who would send American troops to suffer and die, causing more human suffering so he can show his allegiance to AIPAC and Zionist Likud Israel by advocating war aginst Iran? Who is thisBarack Obama; who actions would unleash a global "tsunami economic armageddon" in the name of Christian America, but for the benefit of AIPAC and Zionist, Likud Israel? Who is this Barack Obama; he who sells out the safety and security of this Anerican veteran's America and grandchildren? Who is this Barack Obama; he who would send American troops, children of the poor, the working class and minorities to die for more lies, deceit and greed in Christian America's name? Who is this Barack Obama; who talks about using "diplomacy," but blasphemies my God, the one God of the Jews, Muslims and Christians, by his advocating war? Who is this Barack Obama; who would have others to do "the filth of war," (Warmonger Obama won't soil his hands) in Christian America's name for praise and campaign contributions from a bunch of rich, warmongering Jews, who do not represent the average American Jew! Who is this Barack Obama; that ignores the functions and jurisdiction of the United Nations in dealing with Iran? Who is this Barack Obama; he who ignores Admiral Fallon's message to the Arab Gulf nations, "The Umited States has no reason to attack Iran." Who is this Barack Obama; he who ignores the fact that Israel possesses at least 400 nuclear warheads and thereby threatens all of the Middle East? Who is this Barack Obama; he who ignores the fact that the Gulf nations want the Middle East to be declared "a nuclear free zone, " and yet that won't happen because Israel would have to give up its nuclear weapons! Who is this Barack Obama; with his arrogance and allegiance to Israel; he who ignores The Iraq Study Group that all concerns about Iran's nuclear programs be dealt with through the United Nations? Would God , Mohammed and Jesus support an attack upon Iran killing innocent civilians? No, but the "war advocates," Senators Barack Obama, Joe Biden, John McCain, Hillary Clinton, Joe Lieberman, Evan Bayh, Speaker Pelosi and Reps. Gary Ackerman, Steny Hoyer, Mike Pence and others would! Candidate George Holland For Congress is opposed to any attack upon Iran and will support our troops and MFSO.
